Winter maintenance of agricultural machinery

In the winter season, many agricultural implements in the countryside are idle. For the coming year, it is very important to store and maintain these farm implements. Therefore, according to the practice of the local people, it is summarized as “six defenses”. The specific contents are as follows: (1) Most of the parts of agricultural machinery currently used in the prevention of iron rusting are made of iron. If it is not well kept, it is easy. Rusty, iron pieces once peeled off a layer of "skin", will shorten the service life. Especially thin-walled iron parts, such as pumping water pipes, will be scrapped after rust. Therefore, such iron parts should be removed in the winter, cleaned, coated with anti-rust paint, stored in a ventilated, dry warehouse. Other iron tools such as ploughshares, coulters, etc., should be cleaned, painted with waste oil after drying to prevent rusting. (2) The production of wood-cutting and agricultural machinery parts made from wood is made of wood, and it is susceptible to mildew. Therefore, it should be washed, dried, and coated with tung oil before storage, and then placed in a ventilated and dry place. (3) Anti-rubber parts If the rubber parts of aging agricultural implements get wet or stained with oil, they will easily age and crack and shorten their service life. Therefore, the tractor, cultivator, and the V-belt or flat tape on the pump should be removed, hung on the wall or placed in a dry and ventilated place. During parking of the tractor during storage, jacks or bricks shall be used to lift the front and rear axles of the locomotive to lift the tires off the ground and not to bear the load, but to maintain proper air pressure. (D) The anti-spring deformation of the clutches of the walking tractors is often combined. When parking in storage, the handles should be placed at the position of “closed”. Otherwise, the clutch springs will be under pressure for a long time, losing their elasticity, causing deformation, and leading to scrapping in advance. . The intake and exhaust valves of the engine should also be placed in a closed state to avoid long-term pressure on the valve spring and to prevent dust from entering the cylinder. (5) Motors used to prevent the motor from being exposed to moisture are not used for a long time and should be placed in a dry, ventilated, clean warehouse. If the motor is placed together with pesticides and fertilizers, or placed in wet mud or rain-drenched areas, the motor will be exposed to moisture, internal insulation performance will be reduced, and short circuits, grounding, leakage, and even burn-out coils will be easily caused. . (6) For long-term storage of large and medium-sized tractors with anti-battery vulcanization, the battery should be removed for a long time. After the electricity is fully charged, the surface is scrubbed and cleaned. The surfaces of the electric piles are coated with “Vaseline” and then placed in a clean and warm room, every other time. Monthly recharging is performed to prevent vulcanization.
