Umbilical hernia is a common and frequently occurring disease in piglets. It accounts for about 40% of pigs' surgical diseases. At present, most of the treatments used in veterinary clinics are usually surgical incision of the hernia sac, the contents of the hernia and the peritoneum are sent back to the abdominal cavity, the fistula hole is sutured, and then the skin is sutured, this method is time-consuming and laborious, and the cure rate not tall. In recent years, we have adopted a new simple suturing method to treat more than 20 piglets suffering from umbilical hernia. All of them have been successful. Now we introduce them as follows: 1. Baoding: Using the back of Baoding, the pig's two hind legs are forked apart. It is fixed on the ladder stool, and the fore legs are fixed by hand. 2. Disinfection: Wash the umbilicus first with soapy water, then wash with salt water, then sterilize with iodine, cotton balls, and finally deodorize with alcohol cotton. 3. Equipment: Prepare surgical needles, needle holders, and thicker sutures. 4. Anesthesia: Local anesthesia was performed with procaine hydrochloride solution or lidocaine solution. 5. Operation: The surgeon will send the contents of the fistula back to the abdominal cavity together with the peritoneum. Then, using a needle holder, the surgical needle that is put on the suture thread will be sutured along the hole in the muscle layer under the skin, and then will be sutured. The line is tightened and the surgical knot is fixed. It should be noted that the needle insertion site should not be too close to the edge of the borehole and should not be too far away. Through suturing, the fistula hole is firmly covered by the muscles under the skin, so as to prevent the celiac bowel from coming out. Without suture removal, the suture will stay in the pig's tissue permanently. 6, postoperative care: To prevent infection, postoperative intramuscular injection of 3.2 million units of penicillin, Antong 10 ml, 2 times a day for 3 consecutive days.
