Baking Drying The cut ginger pieces are dried in a tunnel dryer or drying room. The drying room temperature is 60°C to 65°C and the time is 6 to 8 hours. It can also be placed on a bamboo screen and dried in the sun. The drying time is about 5 to 6 days. Generally every 100 kilograms of fresh ginger slices can be made into dried ginger slices 12 to 13 kilograms. 3. Pulverization The dried ginger pieces are pulverized into a powder with a pulverizer and sieved with a 20-mesh sieve. The coarse powder on the sieve can continue to be sieved. 4. Distillation cooling Prepare the stainless steel steamer, place the steamer in the steamer, spread a layer of gauze on the razor clam, loosely spread the dry ginger powder on the gauze, and dry it between the surface of the ginger powder and the layer of medlar. Voids to facilitate the passage of water vapor. After installing the dry ginger powder in the steamer, connect the cooler to the distillation tube of the steamer. Pay attention to maintain the height difference between the water entering and exiting the cooler, high water intake, and low water output. Finally, steam is passed from the steamer to maintain the steam pressure at 0.12 to 0.13 MPa. Due to the high temperature effect of steam, the ginger oil in the ginger powder is vaporized, and the water vapor enters the cooler from the distillation tube and is cooled into an oil-water mixture. 5. The oil-water separator uses an oil-water separator to collect the oil-water mixture at the cooler outlet. After standing, the oil-water is automatically separated; after the water is removed, it is the ginger oil. Generally, for every 100 kg of ginger powder, 3 to 4 kg of ginger oil can be extracted.
