In Fei Xiaotong's view, artificial intelligence has long been used in hospitals. The original clinical decision support system (CDSS) that helped doctors - "knowledge CDSS" is an artificial intelligence. It mainly relies on the clinical knowledge base to meet the user's query needs. But it also has obvious defects: first, it lacks the deep learning function of the machine; second, the data collection, processing and rules need to be completed manually, which takes a long time; third, the maintenance cost is high, and the timeliness of the existence of information is not Strong.

However, the current clinical decision-making system emphasizes “new”. This “new” is embodied in: First, it can provide treatment solutions through artificial intelligence technology; secondly, it has machine learning function, which can continuously accumulate data. And continuous learning summary; again, dynamic and timely real-time docking data; finally can quickly complete the accumulation of expert experience, and update the treatment guidelines without affecting normal use.

Obviously, hospitals need this new type of CDSS to improve the overall efficiency and quality of care of doctors. However, according to Fei Xiaotong, at present, the viscosity of the hospital for the new generation of CDSS is not so high. The main reason is that hospitals are not technology companies, and there is no high sensitivity to new technologies, so demand is not so high.

Managing health is the development trend of “Al+Medical”

Taking physical examination as an example, people go to the hospital for physical examinations and are guided by abnormal indicators. However, as the application of artificial intelligence in the medical field continues to deepen, the future development trend is to manage healthy data. Artificial intelligence develops a personalized health plan by combining people's health data to predict the risk of illness.

However, as far as the current situation is concerned, the application of artificial intelligence is mainly reflected in the comprehensive transformation of the patient's treatment process and hospital business process. In the patient treatment process, the application of artificial intelligence can simplify the medical treatment process including registration, waiting, hospitalization deposit delivery, outpatient payment, and medication. In the registration section, artificial intelligence can be used for triage diagnosis; in the waiting section, relevant patient information can be imported into the attending doctor workstation through artificial intelligence. Through the simplification of the process, the patient only needs to go to the hospital for a doctor's diagnosis, which can save at least 2 hours of queuing time.
