Business challenge

Hospital digital construction is a large and complex system engineering. Its overall system is composed of hundreds of business subsystems, and there are frequent data exchanges and business linkages between these systems.

Program introduction

The core of the solution is a unified high-performance SAN architecture. Most of the hospital's data is stored in the SAN environment, and various service services and application servers are connected through Fibre Channel switches for various business processes. In order to support the hospital's increasingly high business continuity requirements, we recommend establishing a disaster recovery room in a building different from the main center, and using the mature technology of the industry to implement backup and disaster recovery for the storage system.

The following is an overview and configuration reference for the various parts related to the clinical information system in the construction of the data center (information center).

Data center system

Two 8-channel 3.5G processor/32G memory high-performance minicomputers are used as the database server host (supporting 16-channel processor). The TPC-C performance value can reach 500,000 TPMC, and the whole machine can be expanded to 1 million TPMC;

The host adopts a cluster mode to form a high availability environment (HA);

Online storage uses an open SAN solution (storage area network);

The disk array is equipped with a high-performance enterprise-class mid-to-high-end fiber array to configure 5T storage capacity (supporting more than 32T storage capacity);

The SAN network uses two 24-port fiber switches (16-port active) 4GB bandwidth fiber switches to form the HA mode.

The backup system recommends LAN-FREE for data backup based on the SAN architecture, using dedicated backup software with 4Gb Fibre Channel LTO Ultrium 3, 4 tape library devices;

Using the WEB mode application system requires multiple servers to operate in a balanced manner, and a hardware load balancer with a data throughput greater than 200M needs to be configured.

Use high-performance minicomputer as the database server host (supports 8 or more processors); and use partitioning to serve various applications;
