Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is the main product of arachidonic acid metabolism in many cells. Like many arachidonic acids, PGE2 is not pre-existing in cells. When cells are activated or exogenous arachidonic acid is present, PGE2 is synthesized and released extracellularly. In vivo, PGE2 is rapidly converted to an inactive metabolite, 13,14-dihydro-15-keto PGE2, via the PG15 dehydrogenase channel. In the circulatory system, PGE2 has a half-life of 30 seconds and a concentration in the normal cytoplasm of 3-12 pg/ml. Laser Distance Meter Accessories

PGE2 ELISA kit principle : The free PGE2 in the sample competes with the acetylcholinesterase (AChE)-labeled PGE2 tracer provided in the kit for competitive binding to the PGE2 monoclonal antibody, which is detected by enzymatic reaction of AChE substrate with AChE. The absorbance of the sample at 412 nm.
The tracer is labeled with AChE. The stability of AChE is stronger than other enzymes. It can be detected without stopping solution. Its pH tolerance range is 5-10, which is not affected by salt solution and preservative.
The detection range is 7.8-1000pg/ml and the sensitivity is 15 pg/ml.
The kit provides PGE2 monoclonal antibody, no additional purchase.
