The main business systems of Nanyuan Hospital include HIS system, LIS system and PACS system. The HIS system is the core system of the business. To ensure 24 hours of uninterrupted operation, the security and reliability requirements of the network are very high. In addition, the business system of Nanyuan Hospital is relatively complex, the patient data volume is large and the security of information transmission needs to be guaranteed. Therefore, Nanyuan Hospital requires a communication network carrying core business systems such as HIS system, LIS system, and PACS system, and fully satisfies the needs of the business in terms of performance. In order to protect investment, Nanyuan Hospital also requires that the network performance after upgrade should not only meet the needs of business growth in the short term, but also support the expansion of the network in the future. Nanyuan Hospital hopes that after the transformation, the network can achieve Gigabit desktop access, 10 Gigabit core area interconnection, no bandwidth bottleneck in the core area, 24-hour network continuous operation, and the ability to isolate different business data.

As a solution provider of the network renovation project of Nanyuan Hospital, Zhongjian Venture proposed a flat design scheme based on the business characteristics of Nanyuan Hospital, and divided the network of Nanyuan Hospital into the core layer and the access layer. At the network level, the access switch is directly connected to the core device. Between the two core switches, China Construction Enterprise decided to use CSS clustering to interconnect. This approach provides 256G of core bandwidth, eliminates bandwidth bottlenecks between core switches, and enables high availability in the network. The dual links of each service system server are directly connected to the two core switches, which makes the access of each service server more convenient and ensures the bandwidth of the access server. The access switch is uplinked to the two core switches through redundant 10 Gigabit fiber links, and the 10 Gigabit bandwidth link is used to provide sufficient bandwidth for data exchange of the entire network; the redundant link eliminates single point of failure of the network. Greatly improve the reliability of the network.

CSC launched two Quidway S9306 routing switches as a core switch for Nanyuan Hospital to provide redundant core devices. The access layer switch selects Huawei's Quidway S5700 series switches.

Because the S9306 switch has 6T backplane bandwidth, 2T switching capacity, and 1152M packet forwarding performance, its high forwarding capability can meet the needs of users of Nanyuan Hospital. The two core switches are equipped with dual-engine and dual-power supplies, which ensure the high reliability of the device. The 40-port 10 Gigabit interface service card provides high-density 10 Gigabit interfaces for the network and saves service slots. To facilitate the future network expansion needs for equipment slots.

The S5700 supports redundant dual power supplies and 10 Gigabit uplink interface service cards. A single device can provide 20 Gigabit uplink bandwidth. In addition, according to the needs of some regions, CSC also deployed the S5700-52C-PWR-EI switch supporting POE Power over Ethernet for Nanyuan Hospital to provide power supply to the telephone, camera and other equipment, saving power lines. The trouble of deployment is working.

The entire network equipment provided by CSC for Nanyuan Hospital supports the three-layer protocol, which can realize the three-layer isolation between different business systems, which facilitates the management of users of different business systems. In addition, all network devices can support Layer 2 anti-loop protocols and port bundling, which can fully utilize redundant links and automatically converge the network when faults occur. The Layer 2 anti-loop protocol, such as RRPP and Smartlink, supported by Huawei devices can also implement fast network convergence and automatic link switching in the entire network within 200 ms after the fault occurs.

Before the implementation of the project, there was a bandwidth bottleneck in the core area of ​​the network of Nanyuan Hospital, which often led to slow registration of business systems during peak hours and affected the efficiency of medical personnel. Since there is no redundant design of the network equipment, the service system cannot log in once the equipment fails, and often receives patient complaints; because there is no redundant design of the link, the line is interrupted or aging, often causing the business system to be interrupted; Without proper isolation, case information is often lost and tampered with. And telephones, cameras and other equipment, so often can not find the power interface. After the implementation of the project, these problems in the intranet of Nanyuan Hospital were finally solved.
