This kind of greenhouse vegetable has high benefits

In recent years, greenhouse vegetable cultivation has become a key method of vegetable production in protected farming areas across our province and even the entire country, offering significant economic benefits. While proper arrangement of cornices is important, the management of highland vegetable cultivation techniques is equally crucial. However, in some regions, unscientific agricultural practices have led to reduced efficiency, dampening farmers' enthusiasm for developing greenhouse vegetables. To address this, we now summarize some effective greenhouse cultivation experiences for reference by farmers nationwide. One of the key innovations is the use of EVA non-drip film. Compared to regular greenhouse films, EVA non-drip film offers several advantages, including no condensation, longer durability, better heat retention, resistance to cracking, dust protection, and UV radiation shielding. It also has higher light transmittance and can maintain a temperature about 5°C higher than standard films of the same thickness. Additionally, its lifespan can be extended by up to six months, making it a more cost-effective option for long-term use. Soil disinfection is another critical step in maintaining healthy greenhouse conditions. With increasing instances of continuous cropping, soil degradation and plant death have become more common, along with issues like root-knot nematodes. To combat these problems, soil disinfection using agents such as bromine, formaldehyde, or lime nitrogen is recommended before sowing or transplanting. Alternatively, applying broad-spectrum fungicides, active antibacterial agents, or specific treatments like "Blessing More" or "Volvo" through irrigation channels or targeted application points can significantly improve soil health and reduce disease incidence. Selecting high-quality seeds and employing grafting technology has also proven highly beneficial. Grafting not only enhances yield but also improves plant resilience. For example, cucumber grafting using disease-resistant rootstocks like black-seed squash or white-seed pumpkin can extend the growing season, increase productivity, and prevent diseases like cucumber wilt. Similarly, eggplant grafting onto rootstocks like Torrubam or Totosgar boosts plant growth and protects against blight, Verticillium wilt, and root nematodes. By adopting these advanced techniques and practices, farmers can significantly improve their greenhouse yields, reduce losses, and sustain long-term profitability. These methods are practical, effective, and worth considering for any farmer looking to enhance their greenhouse farming operations.
