Measurement dilemma: When measuring high-temperature strong acid and alkali substances such as H2S or high-temperature strong acid and alkali substances such as oil and natural gas, the strong acid strong alkali or sulfide substance in the liquid to be tested will pass through the porous permeable liquid junction and the reference electrode. The AgCl in the system chemically generates toxic substances such as silver sulfide, causing the reference electrode to be poisoned or the reference liquid to deteriorate, resulting in an electrode that is not long enough or even damaged by corrosion.

SNEX refers to a solid, non-porous, non-exchanged reference electrode system. Unlike traditional liquid-liquid junction reference electrode systems, SNEX uses a highly stable, non-exchanged polymer interface as a reference electrode and liquid level. The entire outer surface of the contact is the electrochemical reaction zone, and the large contact area greatly reduces the likelihood of the reference electrode being clogged.
The non-porous design and exchange of the test solution with the reference electrode system eliminates the possibility of contaminating or corroding the reference electrode or electrolyte, thus ensuring long-term measurement and operation of the electrode. The SNEX S series pH electrode has a service life of at least 3 times that of conventional electrodes.
