This soil conditioner offers multiple benefits, including improving soil structure, loosening compacted soil, promoting the formation of water-stable aggregates, enhancing soil aeration and water permeability, and boosting the soil's ability to retain moisture and nutrients. First, the scope of application. This deep-tillage soil conditioner can be used on all types of soil, especially in areas where tillage is limited or not practiced, such as orchards, tea plantations, vineyards, citrus groves, mulberry fields, flower nurseries, cotton fields, rice paddies, and protected agricultural land.
Second, the method of use. 1. Timing of application: It is generally recommended to apply it before sowing or transplanting crops. If the crop has already emerged, it should be applied at a height of 10 cm or more, sprayed directly onto the inter-row soil. For sensitive crops like corn, watermelon, and strawberries, avoid spraying directly on the plants to prevent phytotoxicity. 2. Ensure the soil is moist during application. If the soil is dry, the effectiveness will be reduced. Therefore, it’s best to spray 6 hours before rain or when the soil is already wet after rainfall, allowing the solution to be absorbed and penetrate into the soil for optimal loosening effect. In cases of long-term drought without irrigation, the product may not work effectively. 3. Application in paddy fields: Apply 15–20 days before sowing rice, after weeding. First, use glyphosate to control weeds, then spray 200 ml of the product per acre mixed with 100 kg of water using a fine spray. Choose a clear day after draining the field, plug the drainage outlet, and let the soil soak for 5–7 days before plowing. After full absorption, apply base fertilizer and then sow the rice. Farmers in Longyou County found that the soil became softer and rice yields increased significantly after using this product. 4. Application on vegetable fields: Depending on the degree of soil compaction, it can be applied 2–3 times a year. After each harvest, spray 200 ml of the product per mu (approximately 0.067 hectares) mixed with 100 kg of water. Use a fine sprayer when the soil is moist, and cultivate the land 3–5 days after application. 5. Application in orchards, bamboo groves, tea gardens, and flower beds: Apply it before the emergence of flower buds or tea buds in spring, or after fruit harvesting and pruning. Keep the soil moist and spray 200 ml of the product per acre mixed with 100 kg of water after weeding to loosen the soil and improve its structure. Farmers in our province have used it 1–2 times in vineyards and mulberry fields, resulting in significant improvements in soil condition and increased yields of grapes and mulberry leaves. In bamboo groves, farmers noticed that bamboo shoots grew more easily after soil compaction was reduced, and their yield increased. After fall application, bamboo roots grew deeper, leading to higher bamboo shoot production.
Third, the frequency of use. It should be applied when soil compaction affects crop yield and quality. It can be used once or twice a year, and two to three times in the following year.
