China independently developed a simulated surgical robot
Release date: 2007-07-26 China has made a significant breakthrough in medical robotics by independently developing a simulated surgical robot. Recently, researchers from the Department of Precision Instruments and Mechanics at Tsinghua University and the School of Mechanical Engineering at Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics collaborated to create a dental surgery simulation robot. This innovative system is designed to help doctors master complex procedures, reducing the need for animal or human cadaver training. The project, titled "Research on Force-Responsive System for Dental Surgery," has successfully developed two robotic devices with two and three degrees of freedom, respectively. These systems are currently undergoing trials. The robots simulate real-time forces during procedures, allowing trainees to experience realistic feedback. Instructors can then adjust their teaching methods based on the trainee's responses. A more advanced model with five degrees of freedom is also under development. Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation since 2003, this project represents an applied basic research initiative that has received continued funding. Its goal is to enhance medical training through cutting-edge robotic technology, offering a safer and more efficient way for professionals to gain experience before performing actual surgeries. This advancement marks an important step forward in China’s growing role in medical innovation. ——China Medicine 123 Network Normal Foam Dressing,Foam Wound Dressing Bandage,Silver Foam Dressing,Foam Wound Dressing Roosin Medical Co.,Ltd , https://www.roosinmedical.com
