Japan trial production of artificial retina wireless power supply system

Release date: 2007-10-09

Japan's trial production of artificial retinal wireless power supply system The research team led by Professor Xiaoliu Guangzheng, a professor of engineering studies at the Graduate School of Tohoku University in Japan, has developed a system that can wirelessly supply LSI from the outside to the artificial retina implanted into the eye. The group published relevant results at the 2007 International Conference on Solid State Devices and Materials (SSDM) (published serial number: P-11-1).
The system announced this time uses an electromagnetic induction type wireless power supply. Equipped with a small battery, the primary coil embedded in the lens of the eyeball is powered by electromagnetic induction through a primary coil embedded in the lens of the lens. The main development of this time is the secondary coil and the Schottky diode for DC rectification of the AC current received by the secondary coil. The secondary coil was made using a copper-plated (Cu) damascene process (Damascene Processe). The diameter of the coil was set to 1 cm according to the size of the crystal, and the wiring width was set to 1 mm. The insulating layer is made of SiO2, and the Cu wire is wound twice. The number of turns is only 2, because "this time I want to find out the number of turns required for the secondary coil to obtain 4.5V induced potential" (Koyanagi Laboratory). The end result is about 20 baht.
The results of this trial show that when the primary coil is 50 匝 and the secondary coil is 20 ,, the voltage of 4.5 V is obtained at an AC frequency of 3 M to 300 MHz centering on about 100 MHz. However, there are a number of factors that should be noted when choosing a frequency. "If the frequency exceeds 100MHz and is close to GHz, electromagnetic waves will cause the eyeball to heat up. When the frequency is only 3M to 4MHz, the radio wave method will be violated. Therefore, it is more practical to select the 13.56MHz used for the RFID tag (wireless tag)" room). How to reduce the power consumption of the circuit inside the eyeball including LSI is also a very important point in the research of power supply systems. "The eye cells are damaged when the temperature rises by more than 3 ° C. Therefore, it is prepared to set the power consumption below 50 mW to ensure safety." ——Shanghai Medical Device Industry Association website

Wolfberry Tea/Goji Tea:

Wolfberry tea is produced from the goji berries and it is highly nutritious. This tea contains a similar amount of helpful phytochemicals and antioxidants as those present in goji berry fruit and juice. Regular consumption of wolfberry tea may therefore prove to be beneficial.

Function of wolfberry tea:

Strengthens the body and restores health with TCM;

Eliminates internal heat and toxic materials;

Reduces phlegm and suppresses coughing;

Relieves minor pain; and balances medicinal properties.

Suggested Usage:

The property of goji leaf is mild, so that you can drink goji leaf
Preparation of goji berry tea: take 1-1.5g goji leaf tea in a Cup, steep the tea with boiling water until the water rises just over the tea, then pour out the water from the cup at once(activation).Steep the tea with 150ml boiling water again and wait for about 5 minutes. Then drink the tea.

The tea is drunk and the bits and pieces of dried herbs are chewed. It is recommended not to add sugar in this green tea preparation, as the berries used in the preparation process have natural sweetness.
